Review: IZ*ONE (Fiesta)

IZ*ONE (Fiesta)

IZ*ONE is finally back from their recent hiatus due to a controversy which spread about in Korea. Now, IZ*ONE is back with a new and glamorous title track,” Fiesta ”. It definitely had a more different vibe to Violeta but they were still able to give it their classic IZ*ONE touch. The Music Video was visually just amazing and i really loved the main-chorus with Eunbi, Chaeyeon and Wonyoung serving amazing vocals. Also i really really loved the girls outfits, it really set up the mood with the Music Video.

Im really happy that IZ*ONE stepped out of the controversy they were in and i hope the girls and WI*ZONE can forget about the chapter and move on ahead!. For my final statement, Fiesta is my second favourite lead track released by the girls and i cant wait to see whats next.

Review: TREASURE (Going Crazy)

TREASURE (Going Crazy)

TREASURE made their new pre-debut track called ” Going Crazy ”on the 30th of January. I have to say Yedam and Mashiho’s part in main-chorus is really addictive. The chorus reminds me a lot of Everglow’s ” Bon Bon Chocolat ” but with members singing over the beat. I love the choreography of the song, its so simple but it still delivers the meaning of the song really well. The raps were amazing as well, i guess its true what they say, ultimate rapping flows through the blood of the YG artists. The vocalists really didn’t get show their voice as most of their parts were covered with Auto-tone.

Maybe its so they can save the amazing voices of the members until the debut. I’ve seen a lot of people hyping their debut and personally im looking forward to it as well. Lets wait and see what song TREASURE will show us in their awaited debut. I dont like the song that much, i dont want to put it on my playlist and i dont want to give them harsh remarks cause they didn’t even debut. We will just have to wait and see.

Review: Super Junior (2ya2yao)

Super Junior (2ya2yao)

Super Junior had released their TIMELESS repackage album in the ending of January this year, with a brand new lead track,” 2ya2yao ”. the song has a nice beat to it and i really appreciated Eunhyuk and Donghae’s presence in the song. Although i liked this better than Super Clap, i still felt like the song was a bit dissapointing. 2ya2yao did not live up to my expectations, than again, it was my fault for letting my expectations go very high. The double chorus was not necessary it was just added to give the group some dancing to do. I liked the vocals of the song, but i still wish it had more of energy and hype to it. There can be some corrections to the song but the Music Video was outstanding.

The aesthetic and visual of the video were brilliantly executed. Im hoping a lot from Super Junior next time, 2ya2yao wasn’t a cup of my tea.

Review: VERIVERY(Lay Back)

VERIVERY (Lay Back)

VERIVERY made a comeback about a month ago. This was like a roller coaster experience, the beat switches throughout the song were incredible. Like, during the pre-chorus soft and beautiful vocals were being served along with the fast, fiercely moving beat but then it drops during the main-chorus and picks it back up in the double chorus. Can we also take a moment to talk about YeonHo’s vocals in the song. His vocals were beautiful and soft, i literally can spend the whole day listening to his amazing honey voice and Kangmin’s ” Show me your face will forever be legendary.

In conclusion, i really enjoyed this comeback and cant wait to see what they will brew up next, whatever it is im sure it will be superb as always

Review: GFRIEND (Crossroads)

GFRIEND (Crossroads)

GFRIEND made their first comeback under Bighit Entertainment. I feel like Bighit used the same formula of I Need U and Run for Crossroads. The Beat doesn’t change throughout the song and the violin was a good accompany. The main-chorus had nice blend of vocals from Yuju and Eunha with the violin instrumentals. It was almost like you can feel the presence of the girls. Another thing i loved was the Music Video. The Music Video was so simple but yet so high in quality and resources, it was just so amazing to watch the MV along with the incredible act put on by the girls.

One thing i want to put out is that i felt like the rock guitar was bit unnecessary. But in total, the song and the Music video were a wonderful experience. Looking forward to next time.

Review: BTS (Black Swan)

BTS (Black Swan)

Black Swan is a pre-track for their upcoming album,”Map of the Soul: 7”. Black swan is an upbeat yet soft song. It’s like sweet and sour, you get to experience the soft melody with upbeat parts to it. I would also like to point out the meaning of the song, the song means that they will face their first death if they ever lose interest in music. This track does not have a Music Video but the way their voices presented it was just beautiful and amazing. The voices of the members are combined and harmonized so it is difficult to identify the voices of the members.

They also showed their choreography for the song on the 28th of January in ” The Late Late Show with James Corden”, the choreography was a mix of their previous tracks like Run, Fake love, I Need U. Ultimately, my final saying is that Black Swan is an amazing and special track and i cannot wait for the album.

Review: DKB (Sorry Mama)

DKB (Sorry Mama)

DKB is a kpop group who has just debuted 2 weeks ago. Sorry Mama reminded me a lot of olden style kpop. Now days, there aren’t much groups who have members in the acrobats positions. Sorry Mama is a song i wouldn’t listen to but if it ever comes on i would never skip it.

Another thing i liked was the beat switch through-out the song, like when the vocalists sang the beat was more softer and more lighter but when the rappers came in the beat intensified all the way to the main-chorus. I really loved the raps of the song, my favourite rappers have to be E-chan and junseo. I have only one complaint which is that the ending of the song is something i’m not a fan of but still, i think this was a great way to debut and im looking forward to what they do next.

Review: Golden Child (Without You)

Golden Child (Without You)

Golden child makes their first comeback in 2020 with a sweet melodious and soft tone to it. The comeback was very much different than WANNABE. Jibeom’s soft vocals were very pleasing to my ears and Y and Joochan’s nice tones along with the beat was an amazing sound.

Without You also has a different approach in presenting the song than WANNABE. WANNABE was more intense with a bit of soft drops here and there but, Without You experimented a new style which blends some styles together to create the perfect aesthetics. Without You was a satisfactory comeback and i look forward to their next comebacks as well.

Review: SF9 (Good Guy)

SF9 (Good Guy)

SF9 is back with a brand new track called ”Good Guy”. Good guy really showed off their vocals and the fast beating pre-chorus along with the slow and smooth main-chorus, adding a nice groovy after-chorus was also a great choice. I really loved Jaeyoon’s in the ending of the pre-chorus that was a really nice touch. The choreo was a bit slow and steady compared to their lead tracks. Good guy was a really nice way to begin the year, lets look forward to more next time and give them more wins than this comeback.

I’ve really enjoyed their latest title tracks and only faith can tell what awaits us for their next comeback.

Review: Everglow (Dun Dun)

Everglow (Dun Dun)

Everglow is known for their amazing choreography and powerful drops, but i have a few flaws i would like to point out. Firstly, Dun Dun had a lot of ‘Adios’ in it, it wad basically Adios 2.0. Another thing is that through-out the Music Video, all i would see is Mia. It was Mia here and Mia there, while Onda and Yiren stood there singing the same repetitive lines. Obviously, it was not Mia’s fault instead we should blame her entertainment (Yuehua Entertainment). Things i liked about the song were its choreohraphy and its production.

If Everglow heads on the Adios direction again, im gonna lose it. I had liked some parts like E:U and Aisha’s raps and Sihyeon’s Bridge as well. I really hope for a different sound for their next comeback because this one wasn’t one of my favourites.
